Susan Tooker, Candidate for Assembly in the 103rd

Advocate
Susan Tooker is an experienced advocate for the community. As a business agent for local nurses, she is experienced in contract negotiation, and as a registered nurse, she is experienced in ensuring that her patients receive the best quality of care.

Active in the Community
Susan Tooker is active in her community and volunteers for the Medical Reserve Corps and the Pleasant Valley Firehouse Ladies Auxillary.

Healthcare Professional
Healthcare is an ever-growing percentage of New York State’s budget. Taxypayers deserve a strong advocate in Albany that understands the healthcare system.

Job Creation
Small businesses are the life blood of New York State. Susan Tooker will fight to ensure that businesses that have been given tax incentives are held to their commitments, and she will work to create an environment that supports small businesses in our communities.

Tax Reform
Property taxes are driving seniors, businesses, and young people out of our communities. It is an outdated system, and we need to overhaul our tax system so that it is based on a resident’s ability to pay, not the temporary value of their property.

Leadership in Albany
We need new blood in Albany – leadership that is willing to take responsibility, instead of just blaming the other side. We can’t trust the people who got us into this mess to get us back out of it.

Healthcare
The cost of healthcare is a growing cause of foreclosures and bankruptcies, and an increasing burden on our state. As a healthcare professional, Susan Tooker knows how to advocate for taxpayers and medical providers in Albany, instead of just criticizing the system.
